Here the Oracle DBA (Database Administrator) will find Oracle SQL code, free Oracle scripts and Oracle tools to help
with the everyday challenges which confront an Oracle DBA.
This website has been created to provide Oracle freeware, Oracle
shareware and Oracle software solutions with the intention of helping
to lighten the load of all those involved in administration of an
Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
Currently only a few of our Oracle software tools carry a license fee, most of
our Oracle SQL scripts are freeware and our Oracle shareware solutions are very
reasonably priced. Where a license fee does apply to our Oracle software, it's
below the cost of writing it yourself.
Whatever your requirements we have a piece of Oracle software to help you
whether it's Oracle freeware, Oracle shareware or one of our licensed Oracle DBA
tools.
The various Oracle software solutions have been organized into themes
so that you can find the freeware Oracle scripts you want quickly
and easily.

| The
tools to be found on this site were initially created to solve
day to day situations encountered by us, as Oracle DBAs. As
is to be expected with such a large and complex product as an
RDBMS, there are some areas where Oracle Corporation has provided
tools which will 'do the job' but leave much to be desired (exp/imp
springs to mind) and other areas where there are no tools provided
and the level of expertise or time necessary to achieve the
desired result is just not available to many DBAs.
What we have attempted to do is to share our expertise with
other DBAs and save them the time and effort of 'reinventing
the wheel'. The vast majority of the tools here are free,
some of them, those in the 'X-Rated' section, should only
be used by DBAs capable (had they the time to spare!) of writing
similar scripts themselves. Under no circumstances should
they be used by anyone who doesn't have a thorough grasp of
their effects.
The license fee for any Oriole commercial product has been
calculated to be lower than cost of the time involved for
a DBA with the necessary skillset to write it. This means
that there is no cost justification for writing it yourself,
even assuming you could spare the time.
We hope that you will find these tools useful. We will be
happy to publish any contributions you wish to make which
would enhance the toolkit. If you have any tools that you
feel deserve a wider audience please contact us. Also contact
us if you have tools which you would like us to market on
your behalf.
Our Library contains papers and case studies of real interest
and use to DBAs and as with scripts we welcome contributors
who will share their experience.
The site has recently been extensively updated and as well
as Aunt Augusta's popular problem page, the Library and the
X-rated section, we have added a discussion forum, a 'free
for all links' page where you can share links to useful and
entertaining sites and in association with Amazon.com we have
produced an online Bookshop with recommended Oracle and non-Oracle
books and a comprehensive listing of over 150 books of direct
interest to Oracle DBAs.
